The Exam has 3 goals:

  1. Look for specific diseases that could spread to the community.
  2. Look for medical conditions that would place a large burden on the medical system.
  3. Check immunization status.

These exams are regulated by the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). As your Civil Surgeon, I am here to assist in this exam.

My fee for this exam is $300. Lab tests are done either with my laboratory, or the Health Department laboratory – whichever is most convenient for you. These lab tests run from $200 to as much as $500.

If all the lab tests are normal, the exam is normal, and immunizations are up to date, the whole process takes 7 to 10 days.

If there is a disease state, or further workup is needed, there may be additional tests and procedures. I will direct you to what is needed. You will pay the centers directly. Required immunizations can be done with my group, or at a Health Department.

My goal is to get this step in your journey towards Citizenship done as quickly, inexpensively, and least traumatic as possible.

Welcome, and I applaud the steps you are taking to become a US Citizen!
